Netflix has released a trailer for a Brazillian sci-fi cyberpunk movie titled Bionic, which is set in the year 2035, a time when robotic prosthetics redefine sports.
The film is described as a futuristic dystopian thriller, “The world has been transformed by technology and two sisters (played by Jéssica Córes and Gabz) vie for long-jump stardom in a future where bionic augmentations dominate in the world of sport. But this rivalry leads them down a sinister path.”
The movie is directed by Afonso Poyart, and Netflix claims that it will feature “innovative visual effects.”
The movie stars Jessica Córes, Gabz, Bruno Gagliasso, Christian Malheiros, Paulo Vilhena, Danton Mello, and Klebber Toledo.
Netflix will release Bionic on May 29th, 2024.
