Boots Riley’s ‘I Love Boosters’ to Open 2026 SXSW Fest

Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph has been tapped to star in A24‘s upcoming romantic comedy, Eternity. This marks the actor’s first feature project with the said production company.

According to Variety, The Holdovers star will be joining previously announced cast members Miles Teller (Top Gun: Maverick), Elizabeth Olsen (Love & Death), and Callum Turner (The Boys in the Boat) in Eternity. Plot details about the upcoming romantic comedy feature remain under wraps, but the outlet reported that it will follow the characters as they “decide who they want to spend eternity with.”

The actress recently won an Oscar for the best supporting actress category for her stellar performance in Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers. Her next role is in Joe Carnahan’s Shadow Force, starring opposite Kerry Washington. Randolph’s other television and film credits include Mother of George, The Lost City, Selfie, A Little White Lie, On the Come Up, Rustin, People of Earth, High Fidelity, The Last O.G., Only Murders in the Building, and The Idol, among others.

The actress also has a plethora of voice acting credits under her belt, such as in Trolls World Tour as Bliss Marina, The Guilty as a CHP Dispatcher, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish as Mama Luna, The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show as Christine, Madagascar: A Little Wild as Ranger Hoof, Ultra City Smiths as Detective Gail Johnson, and Chicago Party Aunt as Tina.

Who’s behind Eternity?

The A24 rom-com is directed by David Freyne and written by Pat Cunnane. In addition to starring, both Olsen and Teller will serve as the film’s executive producers. The production company will finance and produce with Trevor and Tim White under their Star Thrower Entertainment banner.

Per Variety’s report, production for Eternity will begin in summer 2024.
