RHONJ’s Dolores Catania loves that Teresa Giudice and Kim D recently reconciled following their long-standing beef.
Like fans, Dolores Catania loves a Bravo reconciliation, especially when it involves two of her good friends—RHONJ OG Teresa Giudice and Kim D, aka Kim DePaola.
“That’s a relationship that needed to be rekindled,” the 53-year-old told Us Weekly, noting that it took many years for Teresa and Kim to end their feud.
“Life’s short,” Dolores continued. “They had a really close friendship. Now they can talk, now that things are calm and they’re not mad at each other anymore. It only takes, in Jersey, eight years to get over a tiff.”
In February of this year, Teresa reunited with Kim, one of the most famous villains in Bravo history.
The two frenemies caught up with each other at Rails Steakhouse in Towaco, New Jersey.
The two hung out briefly before posing for a photo alongside Teresa’s husband, Louie Ruelas, and her lawyer, James J. Leonard.
Kim and Teresa have long had a hot and cold friendship. In the early seasons of RHONJ, the two were acquaintances and friendly, but that changed when Teresa was in prison, and Kim began spreading gossip about her then-husband, Joe Giudice.
Despite being icy towards each other for the last several years, the chill began to thaw last summer when Kim and Teresa re-followed each other on Instagram.
Dolores also reveals that she fully supports Teresa rekindling her friendship with Jacqueline Laurita.
“I advocate [for] anybody who had a history, who were really friends making up,” she said. “Those are real friendships.”
Speaking of friendship, the longtime Bravo star also admitted that it’s not easy to be neutral among the Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s warring groups.
“Everybody knows I’m from Patterson. I’m Switzerland, but I really call myself smart,” she explained. “I don’t like when people call me Switzerland, because it’s not about that. I say what I have to say when I have to say it. It’s just called I’m smart.”
She joked that “it’s not easy being Switzerland.”
