Hulu has released a great trailer for the documentary feature Brats, a film about the young Hollywood stars in the 1980s known as “The Brat Pack.”

The film was made by Andrew McCarthy, member of the group, who called his old friends to talk about their less-than flattering moniker and how they’ve come to feel about it decades later.

McCarthy is seen in the trailer interviewing Demi Moore, Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, and Ally Sheedy, as well as Lea Thompson, who identifies as “Brat Pack adjacent.”

The film’s synopsis reads: “The Brats feature-length documentary explores the cultural phenomenon of films such as St. Elmo’s Fire and The Breakfast Club that tapped into teenage angst and connected with young audiences in a way that had never been done before.

“The films earned a cult-like following but the “Brat Pack” label would impact the young actors’ careers in unexpected ways for decades to come.

“Director & fellow Brat-Packer, Andrew McCarthy, who rose to stardom appearing in such films as Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo’s Fire, and Less Than Zero and wrote the New York Times bestselling memoir Brat: An ‘80s Story, goes right to the source, reuniting with many of his fellow Brat-Packers — his friends, colleagues, and former foes, many of whom he had not seen for over 30 years — to answer the question: What did it mean to be part of the Brat Pack?”

I am really looking forward to watching this documentary. I grew up on all the Brat Pack movies, with some of my favorites being The Outsiders, Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, and St. Elmo’s Fire. Check out the trailer below and let us know your favorite Brat Pack movie in the comments.

Brats will be released on Hulu on June 13th.
