CANNES KAREN: Kelly Rowland Wasn’t The Only Star Disrespected On Those Red Stairs, Apparently

Video of the ever fabulous Kelly Rowland reading DOWN a French Karen at the Cannes Film Festival went viral this Holiday weekend. After Kelly was disrespected by the red carpet “security guard” who kept ruining her pics by strong-arming her and rushing her to move along while stepping on her gorgeous gown, Kelendria had to give her a strict talking to.

Kelly was there as a guest of one of the sponsors, Killian Paris Beauty, and the red carpeted stairs are one of the iconic backdrops where stars stop to get their picture taken. Being snapped by photogs and paparazzi is literally the main reason a celeb is invited there. So it’s odd that Kelly, of all people, would be rushed away from the scene.

At the time, it seemed Kelly was the only star who was being rushed and disrespected while all the other stars – who were all white – seemed to have their pics taken freely with no one interrupting and rushing them or ruining their pics. Sources on the scene also remarked that the former “The Voice Australia” judge was there on time, so it doesn’t seem she was being rushed because she was late.

Kelly even said as much in interviews after the incident, and she was definitely well within her right to feel like she was being singled out.

The 43-year-old mom of two explained to the Associated Press the following day that she has boundaries, and they were crossed. She also looked like she was getting a bit teary while discussing the altercation. The incident seemed to diminish such a fabulous & iconic event Kelly looked so excited to be attending once again. And all for what?

Because this is KELLY ROWLAND we’re talking about. Not some run of the mill self proclaimed influencer who booked their own flight to Cannes to try to snap some pics for their vlog. So what was the reason?!?! (Cardi B. voice)

We still don’t know since French Karen still hasn’t given her side of the story. But what we do know, is that Kelly wasn’t the only one receiving disrespect on the Cannes carpet. After the “Motivation” singer went viral, a few stars who took the carpet days after her found themselves fighting with the same Cannes Karen as well!

Dominican actress Massiel Taveras had an intense altercation with French Karen as well. While attempting to climb the stairs and showcase her intricate gown that had a train covered in an image of Cesar Borgia as Christ, that same security guard strong armed her and attempted to rush her away from photogs and up the stairs as well. And Ms. had WORDS for homegirl.

Another star who was rudely interrupted – across multiple days – during her red carpet stair moment seemed to ask in confusion what was happening. She was blocked and strong armed while posing, and seemingly rushed up the stairs as well.

And yet another attendee was seen exchanging words with two male members of security or red carpet attendees, as well as Cannes Karen, right as she was posing for her pics on the stairs across multiple days. And once again, they used their arms to block her photo from being taken

It all seems quite unnecessary, Especially when, still, several other stars were able to walk freely.

Listen, we don’t know what Cannes Karen’s problem was, but what we do know is, she probably wouldn’t have done any of this had she known Kelly Rowland’s net worth or if Kelly Rowland’s husband Tim was on her arm like these attendees. Because it’s giving “I don’t really think you belong here and you’re alone so hurry up.” And that’s a problem. Just sayin’….
