In the heart of Halifax, the bustling port city of Nova Scotia, a new sensation has taken hold of both locals and viewers worldwide, the TV show, “Sullivan’s Crossing.” This captivating drama has not only captured the hearts of its audience but has also fostered a tight-knit bond among its cast, as revealed in an exclusive interview with Reid Price, who portrays the enigmatic Rob Shandon.
Price, who embodies the role of Rob Shandon with depth and authenticity, opened up about the familial atmosphere that permeates the set of “Sullivan’s Crossing.” “We are two seasons in now, so it is officially a family. I watch the show and I am just in awe of all the actors, truly in awe. It’s inspiring and amazing to watch these people work,” Price shared, reflecting on the strong camaraderie among the cast and crew. He also spoke highly about lead actress, fellow Canadian, Morgan Kohan and what a privilege it has been working with such a talented cast: “Morgan Kohan as the lead is incredible, just incredible and I say it over and over again how amazing she is so what I am really getting at here is it is just a privilege to be with these people and be around them and to learn from them, they are all so professional.”
At the helm of this tightly woven narrative is a talented team of writers led by the showrunner, Roma Roth, whose brilliant mind crafts poignant and emotionally charged scenes that resonate deeply with viewers. Price commended the showrunner’s prowess in creating powerful moments, stating, “She has a sharp eye. She’s a thinker and a feeler and when those things come together, you can create very good things. She’s very passionate.”
Interestingly, Price’s connection to Halifax runs deeper than just filming locations. When he’s not bringing Rob Shandon to life on screen, Price dons a different hat as a video game developer, showcasing his versatility and passion for storytelling across different mediums.
Delving into the intricacies of his character, Price revealed his approach to portraying Rob Shandon’s emotional journey. “I pull from real life experiences, I try injecting as much of myself into the character as I can, with these deep roles I’m considering how Rob would feel and how I would feel. The scene I filmed with Lindura in the diner during the storm, while we were filming, I felt that it was more emotional than I thought.”
As “Sullivan’s Crossing” continues to captivate audiences with its compelling narrative and stellar performances, Reid Price’s portrayal of Rob Shandon stands as a testament to the dedication and talent of the cast. With each episode, viewers eagerly anticipate the next chapter in the lives of the characters who have become like family, both on and off screen.
