Christopher Nolan’s ‘Memento’ Had the Most Annoying DVD Ever

Season 2 of Kate Hudson’s Hit TV Show To Stream on Netflix Soon

Sony Pictures CEO Tony Vinciquerra has shared that the studio will be focused on using Artificial Intelligence to help them produce future movies and TV shows.

There are a lot of people who aren’t fans of AI, but like it or not, nothing is going to stop it or slow it down now that the ball is rolling. AI is the future and Sony Pictures is already embracing it as they move forward.

Vinciquerra recently spoke at an investor conference in Japan and told those in attendance that the studio is “very focused on AI” to help cut down the cost of filmmaking.

He said: “We’ll be looking at ways to use AI to produce films for theaters and television in more efficient ways, using AI primarily.”

He added: “The agreements that came out of last year’s strikes and the agreements that will come out of the IATSE and Teamster [negotiations] will define roughly what we do with AI.”

The biggest fear about AI in the industry is that the tools like OpenAI’s “Sora” will take away labor from crewmembers and other various talents in the movie-making process.

Sony isn’t the only studio that is incorporating AI, and last year DreamWorks founder Jeffrey Katzenberg said that AI would likely cut the costs of making an animated movie by as much as 90%, with only 50 artists needed to create them in place of 500.

It still has yet to be seen how exactly Sony will use AI in the filmmaking process, but one thing we can say for sure is that AI probably could’ve written a better script for Madame Web.

AI is evolving so fast right now and in five years it’s going to be insane to see what AI will be capable of. We live in a wild and crazy time, and it’s just going to get more bonkers!
