Bravo fans have several speculations about what might happen now that season 11 of Vanderpump Rules is done. The idea of some of the cast joining The Valley has been pretty much squashed, and there will be a while before they roll cameras again. Now, Ann Maddox, who was once Tom Sandoval‘s assistant, is talking about Ariana Madix leaving the show and the possibility of a spin-off surrounding the Something About Her sandwich shop that Ariana owns with Katie Maloney.
Notably, Ann now works with Ariana and Katie at the sandwich shop. This means that if there were to be a spin-off, she could be front and center.
Ann recently sat down with Page Six to discuss the goings on with the show and her partnership with Amazon Alexia. During the interview, she was asked about the rumors that Ariana may be leaving VPR. According to Ann, “I’m so proud of her. Whatever decision she makes, she’s always going to make the best decision for her mental health and her well-being.”
She goes on to discuss the topic of mental health and how it’s not discussed enough for people on reality TV. She says,“I think that is … such a priority, and we don’t talk about it enough. I think bringing light to that is so important.”
Naturally, this was a difficult season for Ariana. Not only was she on the same cast as Tom, but many of her relationships with people on the show soured over them feeling she should have had a conversation with her EX. It’s also for this reason that many people think she might elect to not return for season 12 of Vanderpump Rules. She has previously said that doing more of the show would “have to make sense” for her.
Ann also discusses rumors that there could be a spin-off centered around Something About Her. She says, “Oh my God, it’s getting my hopes up. That would be so much fun, so amazing, what a dream.”
However, she also says, as far as she knows, there is no concrete information regarding a new show.
“But I don’t know if that came from a kernel of truth or just, like, people hoping. I’m hoping! That would be fun. I’m down for anything.”
Ann also opened up on her We Signed an NDA podcast about appearing on the third part of the Vanderpump Rules reunion and bringing out sandwiches from Something About Her. However, she also recounts being “ambushed” by Tom.
She starts the story by saying that she was in the makeup room getting ready, and then Tom walked in with a camera crew.
“I was ambushed,” said Ann. “I’m conflict avoidant. And I guess I voiced that too openly because the next thing you know… while I’m getting my hair and makeup done, in comes my old boss with a camera crew. And he’s like, hey, how’s it going? Good to see you, and I just sat there frozen in silence for like five, well, maybe it wasn’t five minutes.”
She continues, “It felt like an hour, but I’m sure it was just like two minutes.”
Ann also shared that this was the first time she’d seen Tom since he fired her as his assistant.
