Welp, Sean Kingston is finally out of the slammer. The singer was released from Broward jail on Tuesday evening after posting a $100,000 bond. The Jamaican-born artist is currently facing charges of fraud, with allegations of stealing money, jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade SUV, and furniture.

Video shows the moment Kingston exited the jail. He was spotted with a white cloth or shirt partially covering his face, seemingly trying to avoid media attention. CBS News Miami reporters was on the scene and even attempted to ask him questions, but he only responded to inquiries about the car waiting for him. When asked if the car was his or rented, Kingston confidently replied, “It is mine, check the license plate.”

The bond amount was set by a Broward judge on Monday, allowing Kingston, whose real name is Kesean Anderson, to secure his release. The 34-year-old singer was booked into Broward County jail late Sunday, following his extradition to Florida.

During the bond hearing, the judge outlined the ten criminal charges against Kingston, including grand theft, fraud, criminal use of personal identification, and violation of probation for trafficking stolen property. However, Kingston’s lawyers argued that since a bond had already been set for the violation of probation charge, he should be eligible for release.

Bob Rosenblatt, an attorney representing Kingston and his mother, expressed confidence in his client’s innocence and stated, “Well, I don’t know who is claiming they owe money. You know, we were aware of the watches, we are aware of the TV issue. If there are other issues I’m not sure about… It’s a breach of contract. There’s no fraud here. There’s no organized fraud at all.”

Rosenblatt intends to file a not-guilty plea on behalf of Kingston and request a jury trial. He’s “very confident” that he get get them dismissed.

As we previously reported, both Kingston and his 61-year-old mother, Janice Turner, were arrested and charged with conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, identity theft, and related crimes, according to arrest warrants released by the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Kingston was apprehended last month at Fort Irwin, an Army training base in California’s Mojave Desert, where he was scheduled to perform. He voluntarily waived his right to fight the extradition process.

On the day of Kingston’s arrest, Turner was also taken into custody during a police raid at a Southwest Ranches mansion that Kingston had been renting.

According to the warrants in the case, Kingston and Turner are accused of stealing approximately $500,000 in jewelry between October and March. Additionally, they are alleged to have taken more than $200,000 from Bank of America, $160,000 from the Escalade dealer, over $100,000 from First Republic Bank, and $86,000 from a custom bed manufacturer. The warrants, however, did not provide specific details regarding these incidents.

The upcoming legal proceedings will determine the outcome of Kingston’s case. The singer and his legal team prepare to fight the charges head on.
