The French city of Cannes is perhaps best known for its lavish film festival, but an entirely different kind of festival is giving it a run for its money: Les Plages Électroniques.
Picture this: dancing on the velvet sands of Cannes, the rhythm pulsing through your feet, the Mediterranean Sea shimmering in a 360° panorama. That’s Les Plages Électroniques, where 15 hours of nonstop music from 2pm to 5am soundtracks an ambiance dripping in glamour.
By day, Les Plages Électroniques is a sun-kissed beachside rave soundtracked by breezy dance music along the French Riviera coastline. By night, it turns into a sublime festival with seven stages that glimmer under the stars of Cannes’ night sky.

The beloved music fest is the biggest beach party in France and one of the largest in Europe, per its organizers, who in 2024 are expecting 60,000 people to attend from August 16-18. They’ll get to dance “on the most beautiful beach on the Croisette,” according to the Cannes Tourist Office.
The breathtaking festival’s 2024 lineup is massive, featuring Kaytranada, FISHER, Boris Brejcha, Timmy Trumpet, Paul Kalkbrenner, Apashe, Lost Frequencies, Nico Moreno and EDM.com Class of 2024 star Sara Landry, among others.
