As previously reported, Bun B opened up about Jackson’s actions during the home invasion and said he pretended to deliver a package at his Houston home when his wife Queenie answered the door. Jackson, who was 20 years old at the time, confronted her at gunpoint, which escalated into a violent confrontation with the rapper. After hearing his wife’s cries for help, Bun B engaged Jackson with a firearm, resulting in Jackson being shot and later apprehended at a hospital. During his testimony, Bun B shared how the invasion left a traumatic impact on their lives.
According to ABC13, the case took five years to reach sentencing, partly due to Jackson reportedly dealing with mental health issues. On the final day of the trial, testimonies included Jackson’s grandmother and a psychological analysis by a court-appointed expert. Jackson previously pled guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized crime.

Jackson’s defense team opted not to question Bun B during the remainder of the trial. While concluding his testimony, the rapper became emotional and said it was his job to protect Queenie at all costs.
“Just the idea of seeing my wife in this state, hearing her voice in this state. I’m her husband. That’s my primary job, to protect her and make her feel safe, and I wanted to know who did this to her,”
