While speaking with Variety, JB Perrette, president/CEO of global streaming and games at Warner Bros. Discovery, and Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO of HBO and Max content, provided more insights regarding the development process for the new season. Bloys shared that series creator and writer Sam Levinson is working on the next season, though he wants to make specific changes. He doesn’t want the show to be set in a high school anymore, confirming some speculation about a possible time jump.
“There’s been a lot of back and forth … One of the issues I think that Sam is thinking about is that he doesn’t want to have it in high school anymore. That’s where it was set and what made sense then. So when you take it out of that, there’s a lot of back and forth about where to set it and how far in the future to set it and all that stuff,” Bloys explained.

So far, those are the small updates regarding the development of “Euphoria” Season 3, but fans have also reacted to the news on social media.
