Riot Fest has announced its 2024 edition, and the festival is making some changes this year. It moves from its usual Chicago home of Douglass Park to Bridgeview, IL’s SeatGeak Stadium — with five stages and on-site parking — and they’ve added new interactive experiences like a casino, a free arcade, mini golf, a “gay punk and dance club,” and more.
The fest goes down Sept. 20-22 with Fall Out Boy headlining day one, Beck headlining day two, and a rare reunion set from Slayer to headline day three. We also get three days of NOFX (as part of their farewell tour) on a special “NOFX World” stage that features a lineup of bands that go very well with NOFX like Descendents, Circle Jerks, Pennywise, The Lawrence Arms, Face to Face, Buzzcocks, Dillinger Four, Lagwagon, The Vandals, ALL, Strung Out, The Dead Milkmen, D.O.A., Swingin’ Utters, and more. Other special sets include The Offspring playing Smash for its 30th anniversary, Mastodon playing Leviathan for its 20th, Manchester Orchestra playing Cope for its 10th, Laura Jane Grace & Catbite performing the music of Operation Ivy, and the Marley brothers (Ziggy, Stephen, Julian, Ky-Mani, and Damian) performing the music of their father, Bob Marley.
