Current AP cover stars The Linda Lindas were in NYC on Thursday for a couple of Talking Heads-related appearances. They played their cover of “Found a Job” from the Talking Heads tribute album Everybody’s Getting Involved at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre to open a special Stop Making Sense event that featured a screening of the film and a Q&A between all the Heads (David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison) and Questlove.
The Linda Lindas and Talking Heads were also both on Thursday night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Talking Heads just for conversation, but the Linda Lindas played “Found a Job” with a little help from house band the Roots. At both performances the band wore the same very cool suits they sported on the cover of our Summer ’24 Issue.
