According to TMZ, public records confirm that Ashanti and Nelly are indeed husband and wife, with their marriage date listed as December 27, 2023. While the details of their private ceremony remain undisclosed, all signs point to St. Louis County as the place where the two lovebirds officially tied the knot. Despite the lack of a public ceremony, Ashanti and Nelly have been dropping hints about their nuptials in recent weeks, keeping fans on the edge of their seats with anticipation.
Interestingly enough, Ashanti recently opened up to Entertainment Tonight about the unexpected journey that led to her engagement with Nelly, reflecting on how their rekindled romance took her by surprise. “Never in a million years did I think we would be here,” she shared. “After our breakup, I didn’t even think we’d ever have a conversation again.” As we previously reported, the couple’s reunion in 2021 at a Verzuz battle marked a turning point in their relationship, reigniting a flame that had never truly died out.

I FaceTimed everyone I know… I was overjoyed and shocked and surprised and happy kind of like all in one.”
