In photos taken less than one year after the world was plunged into COVID lockdowns, the 28-year-old sparked outrage for jetting around on vacation while hundreds of millions suffered hardships at home, although she wasn’t the only celebrity traveling during the pandemic’s first wave. Showing off her enviable frame in a string bikini as she hit up shores and caught rays, Dua had some fans sending her love, but many threw the “New Rules” star hate for seemingly breaking the rules.

Squinting in the sunlight as she stood amid shallow waves, Dua rocked a red bikini with a halterneck top, one showing off her gym-honed body and golden tan. Wearing her locks down and damp, plus a pair of tinted shades, Dua Lipa was also photographed walking in profile as a different shot caught her toned figure all over again — Just Jared shared the images on Instagram.

Fans didn’t seem impressed. By March 2022, Dua was on the move again, this time bronzing her killer body in Miami, FL. Rocking a checkered bikini in orange and red, the “Levitating” singer sizzled as she topped up her tan, removing the sarong she was seen walking around in as she sunbathed.

The early pandemic days were pretty rocky for Dua, who made October 2020 headlines for shutting down suggestions that her music video broke safety protocols.

Dua Lipa, whose net worth sits at $35 million, said: “A tabloid newspaper in the UK (who I won’t give free publicity to by naming), last night published a story about my video shoot in London and what they said was a flouting of Covid regulations.” She added: “This is completely untrue-absolutely all guidelines were complied with. This is one of many untrue stories published by this newspaper about me this year.”
