The ’90s were an interesting time for concert films, with some of the decades top turns into the visual media providing historical mile markers in the process.
As we revisit some of the decades biggest concert films, there is the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert from Queen, which put a spotlight squarely on assisting the fight for an AIDS cure after the legendary vocalist had died the previous year.
You also have Roger Waters deciding to stage a star-studded concert performance of Pink Floyd’s The Wall on the site of the newly dismantled Berlin Wall shortly after it had been deconstructed the year prior.
