Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut, Madgaon Express, hit theaters on March 22, 2024. The lead star cast includes Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, and Nora Fatehi. Moreover, Kemmu made a cameo appearance and Remo D’Souza was also featured in a special appearance. The film, with its humor and performances, garnered a positive response from the audience, leading to excitement and chatter about a potential sequel. Recently, the film’s producer hinted at the possibility of a Madgaon Express sequel. This sparked anticipation among fans eager to see where the story will head next.

Producer gives update on Madgaon Express sequel

According to Pinkvilla, Madgaon Express producer Ritesh Sidhwani recently hinted at the film’s sequel. When asked if the story would continue, Ritesh passionately confirmed the possibility. He stated, “The right person to answer that is Kunal (Kemmu). But if you ask him, he will tell you yes. Will it be his next film? I don’t think so because that’s on him to decide as a filmmaker what he wants to do next.”

Reflecting on the Madgaon Express, the co-producer said, “When he came to us with that script, this was exactly the way he had written it. (It) is exactly what you see on screen. I think he had that conviction and the belief that I will do this, and I think with the love and what we are seeing the appreciation of the film, it was so heartening to see that.”

Earlier in the interview, director Kemmu revealed that he would only continue the film if he had a story that surpassed the humor of the original. He noted that the audience had no specific expectations for the first part, but after watching it, their expectations for a sequel are now high.

For those unaware, Madgaon Express centers around three friends who plan a trip to Goa. However, their lives take a drastic turn when the Goa Police starts pursuing them. For those interested in watching it, Madgaon Express is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. However, it remains to be seen how the makers will continue the story. Stay tuned for more updates!
