Scheana Shay denied that she was “backpedaling” on Ariana Madix – after fans slammed her for questioning Ariana’s decisions involving her ex Tom Sandoval on the latest season of Vanderpump Rules. Now, Scheana’s defending her against Lala Kent’s claims that Ariana coasted on the show.
She also addressed her own dating history, and she claimed there was “overlap” with her good friend Janet Caperna’s husband Jason. Both Janet and Jason now star in the Bravo spinoff The Valley.
On her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana shared she’s been reading the “comments” of her videos, and she read people’s claim that she’s “backpedaling” on Ariana.
“I’ve been reading different perspectives and I see people saying I’m backpedaling,” Scheana shared. “Because it’s like, God forbid I say one thing in support of Ariana. And they’re like, ‘You’re backpedaling.’ No, I’ve gotten perspective. I’ve seen the season, time has passed.”
Scheana insisted she has “perspective” on the situation now that “time has passed” and she had individual “conversations” with Ariana, Lala, and production.
“I’ve had conversations with Ariana, conversations with Lala, and conversations with production. Like things just do change,” she insisted.
Scheana also addressed being single from age 20 to 25 before her relationship with ex-husband Michael Shay. Soon after, she began her relationship with Rob Valletta. Then, she was single for about three years before meeting her current husband Brock Davies.
Scheana claimed that in her early twenties, she was “hanging out” with and having a lot of “secret sex” with a “certain celebrity” for a period of six months.
She also suggested she was intimate with a guy from The Bachelorette. Later, she said she went on several dates (but no sex) with Nema Vand from Shahs of Sunset, who later dated Raquel Leviss – because Scheana “recommended him” to her.
She apparently told Raquel that he would treat her like a “queen” and take her on the “best dates” with “zero pressure to have sex.”
According to Scheana, her own first date with Nema happened when she was about 50 days sober while she was cleansing to freeze her eggs. At the time, she didn’t know if she was going to drink alcohol or smoke weed on the date. She ended up doing both, and the date turned into more dates, though it eventually became a “beautiful friendship.”
She then revealed that she dated Janet’s husband Jason, and she claimed they were intimate in some capacity. She said it happened around the time she was seeing Adam, who allegedly was “psychotic” and couldn’t commit – though he didn’t want her with anyone else. Because of this, when she went on dates with Jason, she brought Janet as a “beard” to throw off suspicion that it was a date.
Scheana said it “didn’t work out” with Jason, who “wasn’t for me,” though it led to his relationship with Janet.
