Andy Cohen reacted to “negative feedback” over his treatment of Lindsay Hubbard at the Summer House reunion and hinted at what didn’t air. Fans accused the host of taking the side of Carl Radke – who broke off his engagement with Lindsay not long before the wedding was scheduled. Andy also seemingly favored Carl’s guy friends as they challenged Lindsay’s claims about the split.
Additionally, Andy shared that his longtime friend Jeff Lewis “got into it” with a ‘Real Housewife’ before they filmed the 15th anniversary special for Andy’s show, Watch What Happens Live.
On his Radio Andy SiriusXM show, Andy addressed a fan’s claim that he was “gleeful” at the reunion about the end of Carl and Lindsay’s engagement.
“They shouldn’t have been together,” Andy declared. “And I was gleeful [after] like watching them fight for 15 episodes. And by the way, Lindsay is now happily in love with the new man.”
Next, he addressed “negative feedback” for allegedly riding “too hard for the guys.”
“I wish [the reunion] would have been three parts. That’s all I can say,” shared Andy. “There was a whole lot more. And also I was tough on Carl, I have to say. And so maybe that didn’t come across, but I mean, he double-talked Lindsay all season too. I mean, he mix-messaged her, so I thought we talked about that a lot.”
Andy eventually addressed Jeff, who – according to Andy – “got into it with a Housewife” before the anniversary special.
“It was really fun. I will say — Jeff and I spilled the beans on his radio show on Tuesday — that Jeff was on my 15th anniversary special,” shared Andy, via Decider. “And he was really funny. He got into it with a Housewife before the show backstage, which you will be hearing more about.”
“But to have Jeff there was really great,” he added. “It’s been a really long time since Jeff and I have been able to have a cocktail and go super deep but we went very deep [at the special] and I have a lot of love for him.”
