Draya Michele is not letting anyone play with her this year. The model and television personality has reportedly filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, NFL star Tyrod Taylor.
In the documents obtained by @tmz_tv, Draya claims that Tyrod has deceived her in a house deal, leading her to take legal action against him. The lawsuit alleges breach of contract and seeks unspecified damages.
So where did things go wrong? Well, per the court documents, Tyrod — who had been in a relationship with Draya since 2020 but reportedly split in 2023– allowed the model and her children to move into the house after he purchased the home a year before. Draya asserts that she and Tyrod entered into a verbal agreement, which stipulated that she would have the option to purchase the property from him in the future. Now, under the verbal pact, any contributions made by Draya towards the property, including improvements and mortgage payments, were meant to be credited towards the final purchase price. Though, since no written contract was formalized at the time, their verbal agreement served as the basis for their understanding.
Draya claims that she made an offer of $2.8 million to buy the house from Tyrod. In January 2024, Tyrod reportedly countered with a price of $3.2 million, which reportedly Draya accepted. Believing that her investments in the property, totaling nearly $300,000, would contribute to the agreed-upon purchase price, Draya proceeded with making improvements to the residence.

The Unforeseen Turn:
However, Draya alleges he’s now refusing to sell her the property, leaving her in a precarious situation. Draya expresses her frustration, as she had made financial commitments and believed she was working towards owning the house. Furthermore, Tyrod’s unexpected change made him allegedly threaten her to get evict from the house.
Legal Action and Damages:As a result of Tyrod’s actions, Draya wants him to pay for breach of contract and seeks unspecified damages.
Draya’s Current Relationships:
Although Draya, 39, is no longer with Tyrod, she has since moved on with another NBA player, Jalen Green, 23. They just welcomed their first child together, a baby girl.
