Jennifer Lopez is reportedly “heartbroken” about her marriage troubles amid rumors of a divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck.

Sources claim that the singer wanted their marriage to “work so badly” but no longer sees it happening. However, despite recent speculations that their relationship has hit the rocks, Lopez and Affleck have yet to address the rumors.

Recently, Ben Affleck moved his belongings out of his marital home with Jennifer Lopez, further fueling the divorce rumors.

Sources close to Lopez have revealed that the actress is down in the dumps about her strained relationship with Affleck.

The “Atlas” star, who recently returned from a trip to Italy, seems to have given up on any hope of reconciliation and is “heartbroken” that a divorce might happen soon.

“The marriage is completely over, and Jennifer is heartbroken,” an insider told Fox News Digital about Lopez. “She loves love and wanted this to work so badly.”

Already, several news outlets had confirmed that the duo had not been living together amid their marital troubles.

Affleck opted to stay at a Brentwood rental while Lopez remained in the house with her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, whom she shares with ex Marc Anthony.

Lopez was in Italy last week, enjoying a solo vacation away from her marriage troubles.

However, her husband reportedly returned to their $60 million home to remove his belongings. The couple intend to sell the sprawling mansion.

According to People magazine, a source shared that the “Argo” actor took advantage of her absence to clear out his possessions, further fueling rumors of an “imminent” split.

“Ben continues to live at the Brentwood rental. He’s been there for about two months now,” a source shared. “He seems okay. He’s been at his office every day and seems focused on work. He’s also spending time with his kids.”

Amid the split rumors, Affleck is reportedly focusing on work and his children rather than feeling sad.

According to another source, Affleck is “excited” about a lot of projects he has on his plate involving his company, Artists Equity.

“Ben has been working nonstop and spending a lot of time at his office,” the insider dished to Fox News Digital. “He has a lot of projects he’s working on that he’s excited about. He’s quite hands-on with his company. He really wants to continue focusing on directing, acting and producing.”

Although Affleck and Lopez have been seen in public since rumors of their split began, they have mostly appeared separately.

Recently, reports claimed that the “Let’s Get Loud” singer is looking to put more distance between herself and the “Good Will Hunting” star if they divorce.

Lopez is believed to be “pushing for a full-time move to New York,” where she has her roots. Prior to her split from Affleck, she was keen on the move and has now decided to “go ahead” with the idea.

If she moves to New York, she reportedly intends to maintain another residence in Los Angeles.

“She’ll probably keep a place in L.A. but she needs to get away from all the noise and the scrutiny on the West Coast,” an insider told In Touch.

It is unclear if Lopez checked out potential places of residence in New York after her visit to the city last month,

Moving to New York City would most likely lead to Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme, relocating with her, as the actress wouldn’t want to be far away from them.

According to the source, the relocation might be challenging at first, but they would all adjust since New York City offers the same things they enjoyed in LA.

“There’s nothing to stop her from taking the kids and making a fresh start back in New York,” the insider added. “They’ve got plenty of schools back east, and she’s got a great social circle there.

There is also the likelihood that she would get to reunite with her ex, Alex Rodriguez, as she is allegedly “starting to miss what she had with him.” The duo were in a relationship for five years before splitting in 2021.
