Diddy Trial Highlights From 13th Day of Witness Testimony

Rick Ross has come to the defense of Bronny James amidst criticism surrounding his debut in the NBA.

The son of basketball star LeBron James, Bronny was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers as the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. This move has sparked controversy, with skeptics claiming nepotism played a role in Bronny’s draft placement, insinuating that his father’s status played a larger role than his own skills.

“Nepotism-Nepotism. You all making me sick, every two years you’all coming up with a new word. ‘The Narrative’, ‘Toxicity’, ‘Toxic’, now it is Nepotism. 85% all you motherf***ers got a job by somebody you know.”

“Little Bronny is a bigger star than 95% of the motherf***ers in the league man. This big business. Lil Brunny sell more wing stock wings than anybody. 95% of the people that’s in the motherf***ing backup squads and all that s**t.”

“First n***s who want to get in the concert free. You n****s standing in line at the side door in the rain and you want to say nepotism.”

Ross voiced his exasperation with the allegations, condemning the overuse of terms like “nepotism.” He contended that those who fault Bronny for leveraging his father’s network often overlook their own privileged connections. Ross underscored the double standard at play, noting that many individuals secure roles or chances through personal ties, yet they are swift to denounce Bronny for capitalizing on the same opportunities.

Ross highlighted the fact that Bronny’s fame and influence surpass that of numerous NBA athletes. He noted that Bronny’s reach and impact transcend the realm of basketball, positioning him as a prominent figure in both the sports and entertainment industries. This indicates that Bronny’s success is not solely attributed to his father’s reputation but also to his own market appeal and potential.
