50 Cent wants the government to step in and regulate the spirits business following a suicide threat from one of the people he’s accused of defrauding him in his $6 million lawsuit against Beam Suntory.

As previously reported, Fif and his alcohol brand Sire Spirits headed to mediation with the company mentioned above after he accused their agents of an embezzlement scheme that involved millions in unpaid invoices.

Former Beam employees Julious Grant, Michael Caruso and his wife Gina Caruso, were specifically named in the suit. An associate named Mitchell Green, who 50 Cent hired to represent Sire Spirits, has also been named as the rapper alleges they were involved in an elaborate embezzlement scheme with him.

Though Green has already pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and is now awaiting sentencing, AllHipHop reported last week that Michael Caruso threatened to take his own life instead of facing legal ramifications for his alleged role.

“During a call organized by Green, while everyone was listening, Caruso admitted to stealing, began sobbing and threatened to commit suicide if Green admitted the scam to 50 Cent,” the article reads.

Sharing a screenshot of the piece to his Instagram on Sunday (June 30), the mogul wrote: “Go read this article on @allhiphopcom beam Suntory change their name to @suntoryglobalspirits it is a 3.2 billion a year company, and they are doing this kinda shit. The government needs to step in a regulate the spirits business. Black owned companies can not make it, if they don’t have the 70 million I had to put into the business.”

Caruso’s threat of suicide happened before the lawsuit was officially brought down on him and his alleged cohorts. Since then, however, he has countersued 50 Cent, alleging he was cut out of the deal with Sire Spirits without being properly compensated or receiving his promised ownership stake.

S0on after, the rapper taunted Caruso in an Instagram clip and dismissed him as a snitch in an unrelated case.

The video is a snippet from a documentary about the infamous Limelight nightclub in New York City, which was owned by suspected drug kingpin Peter Gatien. It was reported that Caruso was an informant for the FBI in the case, betraying his friend and employer in the process.

The “Candy Shop” hitmaker captioned the video: “This Fool been snitching since 1942 Don Julio ! [grinning face emojis] you know he gonna tell on everybody.

“LOL @beamsuntory is fucked, they was paying this guy Michael Caruso a half a million a year and him and his partner Julious Grant put this together. @beamsuntory @jimbeamofficial This is gonna make a great Tv show.”

While Caruso denied the snitching allegations, MTV revealed that Caruso did, in fact, become a federal informant back in 2000.
