Halle Berry (Extant, Monster’s Ball) and Glenn Close (Damages, Fatal Attraction) have joined the ensemble cast of Hulu‘s All’s Fair, a new legal series from Ryan Murphy and Kim Kardashian. All four serve as executive producers.
Led by Kardashian, the series is described by Murphy as “a high-end, glossy and sexy adult procedural.” Kardashian will play Los Angeles’ most successful divorce lawyer and the owner of an all-female law firm in the legal drama, penned by Jon Robin Baitz (Brothers & Sisters), writer of Murphy’s Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans and Joe Baken. Information regarding Berry and Close’s roles is under wraps.
All’s Fair marks the first series for Murphy under his new deal at Disney, with 20th Television, part of Disney TV Studios, producing in association with Ryan Murphy Television. Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Laura Greene and Richard Levine executive produce alongside Murphy, Kardashian, Berry alongside her producing partner Holly Jeter via their production company HalleHolly and Close through her Trillium Productions banner. Kris Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun and Scott Robertson also EP. Murphy is also set to direct.
Berry is an Academy Award-winning actress who took home Oscar gold for her performance in Monster’s Ball (2001) becoming the first, and only, African American woman to receive the accolade in the category of Best Actress. She also won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie in 2000 for her portrayal of the titular character in HBO’s Introducing Dorothy Dandridge.
Among her many other credits are Frankie + Alice, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Things We Lost In The Fire, Cloud Atlas, Catwoman and X-Men on the film side and TV includes Their Eyes Were Watching God, Extant, Living Dolls and Martin.

Close is an eight-time Academy Award nominee who made her feature film debut in George Roy Hill’s The World According to Garp. For her portrayal of Jenny Fields, she earned her first Oscar nod. She was subsequently nominated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science for her work in The Big Chill, The Natural, Fatal Attraction, Stephen Frears’ Dangerous Liaisons, Albert Nobbs, The Wife and Hillbilly Elegy. She has been nominated for 14 Emmy Awards including three wins: consecutive Oscar gold (2008, 2009) for portraying attorney Patty Hewes in Damages and NBC’s Serving In Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story. Close has earned many more accolades across her career in including three Tony Award wins.
She most recently appeared in the Apple TV+ series The New Look. Close recently completed filming on the Lee Daniels feature, The Deliverance; the Seth Gordon-directed action/comedy Back in Action; and the comedy feature Brothers for director Max Barbakow. She starred in season 2 of the Apple TV+ espionage thriller series Tehran and in the 2021 Apple Original film Swan Song opposite Mahershala Ali for director Benjamin Cleary.
