RHOC star Shannon Beador breaks her silence on John Janssen and Alexis Bellino’s engagement plans.
Shannon Beador isn’t surprised that her ex-boyfriend, John Janssen, plans to marry her RHOC co-star Alexis Bellino after less than a year of dating.
“That’s John Janssen,” Shannon Beador told E! News. “At two weeks, he said I was his person and his future, so they’re following the John Janssen course. I didn’t get a ring, but I thought right away that I was going to spend the rest of my life with John. He moves very quickly.”
The 60-year-old previously dated John for three years before officially splitting in October 2022. Throughout 2023, the two continued to be friends with benefits but ended things for good following Shannon’s DUI in September 2023.
She notes that she isn’t bothered by John fast-tracking his relationship with Alexis.
“Good for them, be happy,” the RHOC star added. “From the outside looking in, it looks to me that there are ulterior motives on both sides for them to be in a relationship, so we’ll see. I’m grateful that John isn’t in my life because we had a very toxic relationship. I’m grateful.”
Alexis Bellino recently revealed that she and John plan to get engaged soon after dating for less than a year.
“We have looked at engagement rings,” the Bravoleb told E! News recently. “We are talking about the future for sure.”
“We’re amazing,” she gushed. “It gets better every day. We both are kind of like ‘pinch me’ in the fact that we truly found like a best friend and someone that we want to ride the rest of this life out with together. It’s pretty amazing.”
The 47-year-old admits she is excited for RHOC fans to see her and John’s romance bloom throughout season 18.
“I’m excited for everyone to honestly understand that it is organic. We’ve had backlash consistently since the time we met,” she explained. “People think we’re doing this as a facade and it’s like no, this is reality and we are in love. Our kids are a group now, our dogs are acclimated, so we’re moving forward.”
Alexis adds that she was nervous about returning to RHOC for season 18 and doubles down on the fact that she didn’t break the girl code by dating Shannon Beador’s ex.
“I was very nervous,” Alexis said of returning to RHOC following her exit from the series in 2013. “I contemplated not even going back because I I knew what I was throwing myself into. But also I thought to myself, ‘Why am I not going to do something I want to do just because I’m dating somebody else’s ex-boyfriend?’”
She noted, “I didn’t know Shannon so I did not break girl code. I didn’t owe anyone anything and I wasn’t doing anything to rub anything in anyone’s face. It was literally timing and that’s why it’s reality TV, because you cannot write this script.”
