The reality TV guru graduated from Caldwell University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Communications and Media studies, with a focus on broadcast journalism.
Following college, he began doing a lot of freelance work before he rose to fame as Zachary Reality, boasting nearly 38k followers on Instagram and over 472k followers on TikTok.

Zachary Reality Talks Passion For Reality Television
The TikToker first found a passion for reality television when he was just six years old. “My grandma was over, and I was watching ‘Spongebob Squarepants’ and she was like, ‘We need to put on ‘Survivor,’ it is Thursday, and I cannot miss an episode,'” he recalled when speaking to The Blast.
“Ever since then, I was hooked on ‘Survivor’ and everything the show had to offer,” Zachary added. “That led to me watching ‘The Amazing Race,’ ‘America’s Next Top Model,’ ‘Jersey Shore’ and the rest is history.”
“What I loved so much about ‘Survivor’ is the competition and the social game play and strategy,” the reality TV lover told The Blast exclusively. “I love shows with a winner, and I love the relationships we see form.”

Getting Started As A Content Creator
Like many others, Zachary says he fell in love with TikTok when it became popular during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’ve always loved performing and making people laugh,” he told The Blast. “In college, I found my passion in Broadcast Journalism and realized how much I loved it. I can combine my love for hosting and entertaining with reality TV, and it just made sense.”
“I have been creating and making videos since I was a kid, but when I moved to LA after college at 22, and the world shut down from the pandemic, TikTok launched,” he continued. “And, I saw TikTok as an opportunity to build an online resume for my hosting career. And it all just made sense when I found my niche.”

The TikToker Discusses The Obstacles Along The Way
Becoming a social media influencer and a content creator is not as easy as one may think. It takes passion, work, and consistency. “Getting no views and building an audience. A loyal audience. That takes time,” Zachary said of the challenges he faced. “A lot of time and a lot of hard work.”
“Also, the app TikTok could be so janky and strict with rules and regulations. I had to learn the power of my voice,” the influencer continued.

Zachary Reality Gives Advice To Others Hoping To Become A Content Creator
One thing that Zachary has found to help his channels grow is to “post consistently, be authentic to yourself, find a niche, and do your best.”
The TikToker tends to recap reality shows and squeeze the highlights into less than 60 seconds for a social media video, but growing an audience can be challenging. “If you don’t make it as a content creator, find a way to pivot. Do it because it makes you happy, not just because you want to be famous,” he advises.
