What is the best singing scene in a non-musical movie?

If you’re a horror movie fan, you’ll appreciate this poster art for the classic 1982 anthology horror movie Creepshow.

The poster was created by artist Marc Schoenbach for Bottleneck Gallery. Unfortunately, I was late to the game on this one and it is already sold out. I try to keep up to date on everything going on in the poster collectors world, but I missed this one.

About the print: “Marc is a master of horror, and we’re so excited to welcome him back with a big and bold print for George Romero and Stephen King’s Creepshow. Focused on the iconic mascot, Marc’s print interprets The Creep in all of his bedraggled, creepy glory. And just like the film itself, this print is both horrifying and pure fun.”

Creepshow was directed by George A. Romero and written by Stephen King, and is a horror anthology film that weaves together five chilling tales inspired by the EC horror comics of the 1950s.

The film opens with a prologue featuring a young boy punished by his father for reading a horror comic, setting the stage for the stories that follows.

The first tale, “Father’s Day,” tells the story of a vengeful corpse returning from the grave on Father’s Day to exact revenge on his greedy family.

“The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill,” based on a short story by Stephen King, depicts a dim-witted farmer who discovers a meteorite, only to suffer a tragic fate as he becomes consumed by a rapidly spreading alien fungus.

In “Something to Tide You Over,” a wealthy and vengeful husband enacts a cruel plot against his wife and her lover, only to face supernatural retribution.

The anthology continues with “The Crate,” where a mysterious, bloodthirsty creature trapped in a crate wreaks havoc after being discovered by a university janitor. This segment combines suspense, gore, and dark humor as the characters grapple with the monstrous entity.

The final story, “They’re Creeping Up on You!,” centers on a ruthless, germaphobic businessman who finds himself besieged by a relentless horde of cockroaches in his meticulously sanitized apartment, culminating in a grotesque and ironic end.

The film concludes with an epilogue where the boy from the prologue gets his revenge on his abusive father using a voodoo doll.

Creepshow masterfully blends horror and dark comedy, creating a nostalgic tribute to classic horror comics while delivering a unique cinematic experience filled with macabre twists and turns.
