As we previously reported, Amber Rose took the stage at the 2024 Republican National Convention to voice her support for former President Trump. Her speech, which focused on her role as a mother and a converted Trump supporter, has sparked controversy and drawn attention from CNN senior political commentator Van Jones.
During her speech, Amber Rose shared her personal journey of initially resisting her father’s support for Donald Trump, a 20-year military veteran. However, she explained that her perspective changed when her father challenged her to find evidence of “left-wing propaganda” that portrayed Trump as racist. Through her “research,” she attended Trump rallies and connected with his supporters, realizing that they embraced individuals regardless of their race, sexuality, or background.
Van Jones, a senior political commentator for CNN, responded to Rose’s speech saying,
“That was probably the most dangerous speech for the Democratic coalition,” Jones said Monday evening on CNN. “That is a young woman of color. She is describing the experience that a lot of people have — feeling that maybe, if you’re around too many liberals, you might get criticized too much or you might not be able to speak your mind, and she spoke to it really well.”
