The Linda Lindas have announced the follow-up to their debut album, Growing Up, one of the best albums of 2022. No Obligation comes out on Oct. 11 via Epitaph, and the band (and current AP cover stars) wrote it over the last two years when they weren’t busy on tour or with school. It includes their singles “Resolution/Revolution” and “Too Many Things,” and you can see the cover art and tracklist below.
They’ve shared a new single, “All in My Head,” and any accompanying video by James Wyatt, which you can watch below. Lucia de la Garza, who wrote and sings on it, says, “It has the most indie vibes we’ve leaned into so far because it was written on an acoustic guitar. Recording it was really fun, full of lots of dancing in the studio.” She continues, “I wrote ‘All In My Head,’ from the perspective of a book character,” from Ottessa Moshfegh’s My Year of Rest and Relaxation, “which brought us out of our comfort zone. It felt like a break from reality, which we don’t usually find ourselves writing about.”
