Tom Sandoval sues Ariana Madix for accessing explicit videos of Raquel Leviss without “authorization.” Plus, Ariana’s attorney responds.
Vanderpump Rules OG Tom Sandoval is suing his ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix for accessing explicit videos of Raquel Leviss on his cellphone without his “authorization.”
Per court documents, the 40-year-old claims that Ariana Madix “obtained access” to his phone on March 1, 2023, and viewed videos of him and Raquel without his “authorization or permission.”
Tom Sandoval alleges that his 38-year-old ex “made copies” of the video and sent it to “Leviss and third parties” without his consent.
The video drama played out on the Vanderpump Rules season 10 finale when after nearly a decade of dating, Ariana discovered sexual videos of Racquel on Tom’s phone thus expsosing Tom and Racquel’s nearly year-long affair. As a result, Ariana called it quits with Tom, who went on to briefly date Racquel before breaking up in May 2023.
Tom’s lawsuit comes after Raquel filed a lawsuit aginst the former Vanderpump Rules couple in February. The former Vanderpump Rules star accuses Ariana and Tom of “eavesdropping, revenge porn and an invasion of privacy.” In April, Tom countersued Raquel, claiming that her lawsuit was “a thinly veiled attempt to extend [Leviss’] fame and to rebrand herself as the victim.”
Ariana also filed a countersuit against Raquel, claiming that the former SURver was seeking to “punish” and “blame Ms. Madix for the negative reaction [she] received as a result of her affair.”
The 38-year-old’s attorney, Jordan Susman, argued that she learned of Tom and Raquel’s affair “in the worst possible way” by discovering videos of them “having phone sex.” Ariana was “devastated” and “immediately confronted” Tom about the videos before telling friends about his “betrayal.” However, she insists that she never shared “any of the video footage she found” with anyone but Raquel.
When it comes to Tom’s lawsuit against Ariana, the 38-year-old’s attorney responded via a statement to Us Weekly.
“It is abhorrent that Tom Sandoval continues to torment Ms. Madix. From engaging in an illicit affair that shattered her home and stability, to months of emotional warfare and now this attempt to further shirk personal responsibility for the effects his actions have had on her and her emotional wellbeing. Tom Sandoval knows full well what sort of privileges he and Ms. Madix shared in regard to their personal communication devices.”
The statement continued: “If he or his mistress had their way, it would be illegal for someone to discover their spouse or significant other was having an affair. For Mr. Sandoval to go from begging Ms. Madix for forgiveness to blaming her for his wrongdoing speaks for itself. Even months after the New York Times branded Mr. Sandoval “the most hated man in America,” he has clearly learned nothing and believes it necessary to continue torturing Ms. Madix in a vain effort to rehabilitate his image. Ms. Madix is confident that a jury will see through this latest ploy and dismiss his frivolous claims.”
Meanwhile, the Tom Tom co-owner’s attorney, Matthew Geragos, defended his lawsuit against Ariana.
“While Tom Sandoval accepts responsibility for his affair, he strongly denies the allegations of the lawsuit filed by Rachel Leviss against him and Ms. Madix,” the statement read. “In order to ensure a fair and just determination of responsibility among all parties involved, we filed a cross complaint on behalf of Mr. Sandoval. This customary legal action was crucial to ensure that liability, if any, is fairly distributed based on the actual level of involvement and fault of each party. We aim to resolve this legal dispute with upmost respect towards all parties involved.”
