The following is the clue and category for Final Jeopardy today on July 18, 2024. Two-day returning champion Jay Fisher has not had a lot of luck so far with the Final Jeopardy clues, including yesterday’s that stumped everyone. Still, he comes into tonight’s game with a respectable total of $16,199, which is nothing to sneeze at. We’ll have to see if he fares better today as he goes up against Jeopardy challengers Meredith Miller from Virginia and Micah Rahn-Tiemeyer from Michigan. Here’s the question and answer for Final Jeopardy for 7/18/2024 and a recap of the winner and wages of the match.

Final Jeopardy Question and Answer for July 18, 2024

The Final Jeopardy question and answer for July 18, 2024 is in the category of “Show Biz Marriages” and has the following clue:

Married since 1977, the year of this band’s 1st album, 2 members referenced another album with their 2023 “Remain in Love” tour

Click here to reveal the correct answer:

– Answer: “Who are the Talking Heads?”

The two members of The Talking Heads the clue references is the bassist Tina Weymouth and the drummer Chris Frantz, who married each other in 1977. Those who know their music history for this band will know that their first album was Talking Heads: 77, which is a substantial clue in figuring out the correct answer. The 2023 “Remain in Love” tour is named after a memoir of the same name that Frantz published about his relationship with Weymouth.

Final Jeopardy Wagers and Winner for July 18, 2024

Jay Fisher, with some luck on his side, is the winner of the July 18, 2024 match. He was the only one to answer the Final Jeopardy clue correctly, which he needed to do since he was in second place heading into it.

Jay had $6,600, but a wager of $5,401 put him at $12,001 for the day. This gives him a grand total of $28,200 over three days. Micah had $8,000, but couldn’t come up with the right answer. After risking $5,201, he ended up in second place with $2,700. Meredith responded with Fleetwood Mac, dropping her total from $6,000 to $1,500 after a wager of $4,500.
