The Strahan household is celebrating great news this month! Michael Strahan‘s daughter, Isabella, has revealed an update on her brain tumor diagnosis. The 19-year-old is now free of cancer.

She has been keeping fans briefed on the status of her health via a YouTube series. She titled Thursday’s (July 18) episode ‘Goodbye Hospital.’ It was a three-minute video of Isabella on camera, recording from a hospital bed and then a car.

For context, earlier this year, she revealed that chemotherapy was set to begin in February. Her treatments have led her to experience the loss of her ginger-colored hair.

Near the end of her video update, she revealed that her last MRI appointment went well. “It was a great, great scan,” she shared with a smile.

“Everything was clear. Cancer-free and everything is great. I don’t have another doctor’s appointment until October,” Isabella said.

Additionally, Isabella Straton shared that she already misses her doctors and hospital staff because of how they’ve helped her. “I love them so much,” the 19-year-old said.

Michael Strahan has yet to react to his daughter’s health update on his personal Instagram account.

Here’s What We Know About Isabella Strahan’s Initial Diagnosis

The public first learned about Isabella Strahan’s medulloblastoma in January when she spoke on it during a ‘Good Morning America’ episode. At the time, The Shade Room reported that medulloblastoma is the “most common” type of cancer in children.

The revelation came months after doctors diagnosed her in October 2023. Isabella had noticed unusual symptoms at the top of that month. “…I definitely noticed headaches, nausea, couldn’t walk straight,” Isabella Strahan said.

After testing at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, doctors discovered the root issue. Back then, medical professionals informed the twin that the tumor was located at the back of her brain. Additionally, they revealed it had grown larger than a golf ball at 4 centimeters.

She underwent surgery to remove the tumor on Oct. 27. Afterward, Isabella Strahan relied on her twin sister Sophia and a month of rehab to help her re-learn how to walk. She also experienced “several rounds of radiation treatment.” Still, her demeanor during that ‘Good Morning America’ interview remained uplifted.

“I’m grateful. I am grateful just to walk or see friends or do something, ’cause when you can’t do something, it like, really impacts you,” Isabella Strahan said.
