Prime Video has released a promo spot for The Boys Season 4 finale and it offers a tease of what’s in store for Homelander, Billy Butcher, Hughie, and the other characters in the series.
The episode is titled “Assassination Run” and it looks like the stakes are high as it looks like Billy is knocking on death’s door, as he offers an emotional goodbye to Hughie on the phone, and asks him to tell the rest of the boy that he’s sorry for how everything went down.
Then there’s Neuman, who is about to be sworn into being President of the United States. It’s going to be really interesting to see how this series finale plays out.
In Season 4, “The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power.”
“Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
Eric Kripke previously teased that this season, “miiiiiiight be the batshit craziest thing we’ve ever done? Like I truly can’t believe we got away with it.” It certainly hasn’t disappointed so far.
The series will come to an end with Season 5 and I’m curious to see how the last episode of the series sets that up.
