Sheesh! Whoopi Goldberg and her co-hosts of ABC’s ‘The View’ are defending Vice President Kamala Harris and dragging former President Donald Trump’s Vice President pick, Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), for once suggesting VP Harris is a “childless cat lady.”

In July 2021, during his bid for Senate, J.D. Vance told former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that “we are effectively run in this country via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives.”
He continued, “They want to make the rest of the country miserable too. It’s a basic fact. Look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC (Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez). The entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?”
As the clip of J.D. Vance speaking on Kamala Harris resurfaces and goes viral, it has now been featured on ’The View,’ where co-host Whoopi Goldberg drags Vance for his suggestions about VP Harris. She began, “Sir, There are people who have chosen not to have children for whatever reason. There are people who want to have children who cannot – how dare you!?”

Whoopi Goldberg continued to defend Kamala Harris and drag J.D. Vance, stating, “You never had a baby. Your wife had a baby. But you never had a baby. So, you know nothing about this. And how dare you?! And women, you heard how he thinks of you. This is not good for you, J.D.” Quipping, co-host Joy Behar said, “It’s so mean against cats.”
Behar and co-host Sara Haines continued to slam Vance, with Haines disagreeing with him bout her children having any factor in her political opinions. She said, “The part that really disgusts me is that he thinks by the fact you have children that’s how you look through the lens of politics. I have children, and I can assure you that is not my first thought when I think about politics. My kids are obviously going to be affected by that, but anyone with a heart will look at the moral clarity of the decisions we’re making.” Haines also shared her pro-abortion views and concerns about the environment and poverty.

Co-host Sunny Hostin also commented and called J.D. Vance’s comments a “myopic view” of childless voters, like those who simply choose not to have children, who sadly cannot carry children, or college students who haven’t gotten to that point in life.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin followed and said that her lifelong girlfriend’s friends have strong opinions about J.D. Vance’s “childless cat lady” comments. She said, “I’m hearing from so many girlfriends, lifelong Republicans that are offended. If you’re a woman of my age, mid-30s, the most common things my friends are dealing with are infertility, miscarriages, struggling to get pregnant, and people who so badly want to get married but haven’t met the right partner yet. How dare you denigrate them and say they are not as valuable and don’t have as much of a stake in society? Finally, how dare you come for cat ladies? The cover of Time magazine was Taylor Swift, the ultimate, fabulous cat lady!”
Hostin, a mother of two children then added, “I’m a cat lady,” and Goldberg, who has a daughter, laughed and called herself “the ultimate cat lady!”
