Gymnast Nastia Liukin ‘Shockingly Emaciated’ In Flexibility Display

Nastia Liukin has sparked weight worries as she delivers a new Instagram share. The Olympic gymnast, 34, has been celebrating the 2024 Paris Olympics with a new capsule collection as she continues to collaborate with footwear brand APL, but talk wasn’t so much about her stylish sneakers as she updated her account last night. Sharing mash-up footage of herself flipping across a tennis court net and delivering a jaw-dropping handstand, Nastia reminded fans of her gymnast skill set, but she was met with concerned remarks regarding her ultra-slim frame. With 2020 bringing an anorexia storm as Nastia clapped back to a weight-related remark, though, this is nothing new.

Scroll for the video. Reminding her 1 million followers of her flexibility, Nastia kept active in just about every way as footage opened with a quick leg warm-up. After hitting a tennis ball while in a strappy black dress, the Russian-born sensation casually cartwheeled over the tennis court’s net, showing off her toned arms and legs and the frame that fans are so worried about.

Further parts of the video included Nastia snapping a photo with a camera and adjusting her tricolor socks and sneakers, with one moment seeing her flipping her entire body weight onto her hands. Here, the blonde wore skintight red shorts and a matching sports bra and she highlighted her insane balance, agility, and flexibility.

In a caption, Nastia Liukin wrote: “I heard you wanted a restock @apl and I did you one better and created a whole new collection, available today: APL + Nastia Liukin Summer 2024 Capsule Collection.”

The post wasn’t even two hours old before a remark about the Gold Medal winner’s weight became the most-liked one. “Nastia’s looking shockingly emaciated. Hope she’s surrounded by a supportive team,” the user said. “It’s really scary. I’m afraid for her health and life,” another replied. This wouldn’t be the first weight-related comment on Nastia’s IG — much of 2024 has seen fans expressing concern.

In May, Nastia Liukin posted the above photo to her Instagram, soaking up summer and showing off her beyond-tiny frame in a skimpy bikini. Posing with water droplets all over her skin and highlighting both her abs and her visible ribs, she went high-cut with her skimpy bottoms while rocking a triangle top, but comments were off the table. “Dallas, texas: where it’s 95 and sunny one day & tornado watches and flash floods the next,” a caption read.

Nastia has been eyeing up the 2024 Olympics for a while. In this April share, she posed seated while modeling a girly pink dress with a colorful pair of high heels. In a caption, she counted down “only 92 days” until the Paris Olympics.
