It’s almost time for music lovers to take over downtown Chicago for another iteration of one of the country’s most beloved and longest-running festivals, Lollapalooza.
This Thursday, August 1st, the gates will open for the first day of the iconic Windy City fest. With well over 100 artists across countless genres inside and outside the electronic music realm, fans from all over the world will head to Grant Park to see their favorite acts.

Lollapalooza 2024 features performances from Skrillex, Four Tet, Zedd, Zeds Dead, FISHER, Mersiv, Galantis, Whyte Fang, Don Diablo, Nostalgix, Black Tiger Sex Machine and many more.
Outside the realm of electronic music, attendees will be able to rock to the sounds of Chapell Roan, SZA, Megan Thee Stallion, Deftones, The Killers, Metro Boomin, Future, Killer Mike, Two Door Cinema Club, Melanie Martinez, Vince Staples and blink-182, among other contemporary superstars.

Lollapalooza stages
Lollapalooza 2024 will feature eight stages each with their own unique programming. The Bud Light and T-Mobile stages will serve as the “main stages” with performances from the festival’s headliners. Rising stars and veteran talent of all genres will meld on the Tito’s, Bacardi, BMI and IHG stages while the Kidapalooza stage will feature family-friendly fun. Finally, the Perry’s Stage will be the home for all things EDM all weekend long.
This year’s outing features a special treat for fans of electronic dance music. On Saturday, the iconic Perry’s Stage will be transformed into “Sonny’s Stage” for an all-day takeover curated by and featuring Skrillex. It will include performances from Four Tet, Dylan Brady, Kenny Beats, Nia Archives, and the dubstep legend himself.

Lollapalooza will once again return to its longtime home of Grant Park in downtown Chicago, Illinois. Since the event takes place in the middle of a major city, there are plenty of hotel and rideshare options available to festival-goers. You can learn more about those here.

Lollapalooza festival hours
Lollapalooza 2024 will open its gates at 11am on Thursday, August 1st until Sunday, August 4th. The gates will close at 10pm each night as the final performers leave the stages.
Lockers
Lockers are available for purchase for all four days of Lollapalooza. You can pre-reserve complete weekend or single-day rentals. The dimensions of the lockers are 11” wide, 13½” high and 18″ deep, and can be accessed during festival hours.

Afterparties
Lollapalooza fans will be able to take advantage of some of the most plentiful afterparty selections on the festival circuit. There are dozens of shows all around Chicago at venues like Spy Bar, The House of Blues, Concord Music Hall, The Vic Theatre, Radius and more. EDM fans will be able to party afterhours with Alison Wonderland, Zedd, Mersiv, Loud Luxury, Don Diablo, Zeds Dead and more.

At the time of writing, Lollapalooza 2024 is very close to selling out. There are still a limited number of single-day tickets passes but all non-VIP, four-day passes are sold out.
