And Just Like That… Season 3 Episode 5 Release Date, Time, Where to Watch

As the Olympics 2024 came to an end, streaming platforms are gearing up for an exciting slew of releases. This week’s OTT releases have everything from Kamal Haasan’s Manorathangal to Netflix’s Emily in Paris season 4 part 1. Here’s a closer look at what’s coming to your screens:

Manorathangal

Release Date: August 15, 2024

Streaming Platform: ZEE5

Manorathangal, arriving on ZEE5 Global on August 15, is a Malayalam-language anthology series celebrating the literary legacy of M.T. Vasudevan Nair. This nine-part series explores the duality of human nature through a collection of stories set against the scenic backdrop of Kerala. Each story delves into themes of nobility versus primal instincts and how they interconnect.

The anthology features an impressive lineup of South Indian cinema’s brightest stars and directors. Mohanlal leads Olavum Theeravum, directed by Priyadarshan, while Mammootty stars in Kadugannawa Oru Yathra Kurippu under Ranjith’s direction. Other notable entries include Priyadarshan’s Shilalikhitam featuring Biju Menon and Shyamaprasad’s Kazhcha with Parvathy Thiruvothu.

Fahadh Faasil will be seen in Mahesh Narayanan’s Sherlock. Last but not least, the series wraps up with Rathish Ambat’s Kadalkkaattu, featuring Indrajith and Aparna Balamurali. This OTT release promises a rich and varied narrative experience ranging between different genres.

Shekhar Home

Release Date: August 14, 2024

Streaming Platform: JioCinema

Shekhar Home, arriving on JioCinema on August 14, offers a unique Indian interpretation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. Set in the picturesque town of Lonpur, West Bengal, this series reimagines the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes as Shekhar Home, played by Kay Kay Menon. The show is set in the early 1990s and follows Shekhar as he navigates a series of complex and puzzling cases.

Shekhar’s partner, Dr. Jayvrat Sahni (Ranvir Shorey), adds wit to the duo’s dynamic, mirroring the classic Holmes-Watson relationship. The series blends traditional detective work with a local twist, featuring Rasika Dugal as a femme fatale and Kirti Kulhari in a key role. With direction by Rohan Sippy and Srijit Mukherjee, this OTT release promises an engaging mix of mystery and cultural flavor.

Chamak: The Conclusion

Release Date: August 16, 2024

Streaming Platform: SonyLIV

Chamak: The Conclusion returns to SonyLIV on August 16 with its final season, focusing on the dark and chaotic world of the Punjabi music industry. This final season focuses on Kaala (Paramvir Singh Cheema) as he seeks vengeance for his father’s murder. The series blends themes of power, legacy, and betrayal, with Kaala facing new adversaries and escalating tensions.

Darling

Release Date: August 13, 2024

Streaming Platform: Disney+ Hotstar

Darling, premiering on Disney+ Hotstar on August 13, is a comedic film produced by the makers of HanuMan. The story revolves around a husband, played by Priyadarshi, who navigates the challenges of living with a wife, portrayed by Nabha Natesh. The twist? She suffers from a split personality disorder. The film humorously explores the husband’s struggle to manage his wife’s condition amidst societal expectations and family dynamics.

Parineeta

Release Date: August 15, 2024

Streaming Platform: Hoichoi

Parineeta, premiering on Hoichoi on August 15, is an adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s beloved novel. Directed by Aditi Roy, the series follows the tumultuous relationship between Lalita and Shekhar, who reconnect at a train station after years apart. The story explores themes of love, jealousy, and complex emotional bonds. The cast includes Debchandrima Singha Roy and Gaurav Chakrabarty. All in all, this OTT release is expected to be a moving portrayal of classic romance.

Now, apart from these Indian releases, this week’s OTT releases also feature the highly awaited Emily in Paris season 4 part 1 on Netflix and Industry season 3 on JioCinema. Furthermore, it includes A Quiet Place: Day One, Bad Monkey, Daughters, Jackpot!, Bel-Air season 3, and The Union.
