Kamala Harris’ campaign got some giggles out after watching Monday evening’s livestreamed interview between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, which was delayed by some 45 minutes due to technical issues.
During this interview on X (formerly known as Twitter), Trump covered various topics, including his assassination attempt and deportations. While discussing these matters, he took the opportunity to poke fun at his rival Kamala Harris. He stated, “I saw a picture of [Harris] on Time magazine today. She looks like the most beautiful actress ever to live. Actually, she looked very much like our great first lady, Melania. She didn’t look like Camilla, that’s right. But of course, she’s a beautiful woman, so we’ll leave it at that.”

Although Harris and her campaign did not respond directly to Trump’s backhanded compliment, they issued a statement saying, “Donald Trump’s extremism and dangerous Project 2025 agenda is a feature, not a glitch, of his campaign, which was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen in tonight during whatever that was on X.com. Trump’s entire campaign serves self-obsessed wealthy individuals like himself and Elon Musk, who will sell out the middle class and cannot even manage a livestream in 2024.”

As Trump continues to launch attacks, many hope that he will conserve that energy for the upcoming debate against Harris.
Both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are scheduled to debate on ABC on September 10, following Trump’s confirmation to participate in this debate and two others next month.
“ABC News will host qualifying presidential candidates to debate on September 10. Vice President Harris and former President Trump have both confirmed their attendance,” the network announced in a statement.
