More Artist Friendly is on the way. Following conversations with Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan, Shaggy 2 Dope of Insane Clown Posse, and Rory Rodriguez of Dayseeker, Jakob Nowell of Sublime will join Joel Madden on the latest episode of the series.
After disbanding in 1996, Long Beach ska veterans Sublime reunited at this year’s Coachella — with Nowell filling in for his late father, Bradley. Between honoring his father’s legacy and creating his own futuristic songs as Jakobs Castle, Nowell has proved that he’s a talented musician who’s determined to keep rock a family affair. He’s played a handful of shows in support of this year’s debut album, Enter: The Castle, has plans to revive old Sublime compositions, and gets into a nearly hour-long chat with Madden about his whirlwind year.
