Oop! Akbar V was riding for Nicki Minaj via social media on Wednesday (August 14). It appears Akbar peeped a video of Latto naming Lil’ Kim as her choice for G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) female rapper. Well, it’s safe to say AK was NOT here for the ‘Sugar Honey Iced Tea’ rapper’s opinion!

Here’s What Akbar V Said About Latto’s Choice
On X (formerly Twitter), Akbar reacted to a TMZ headline about Latto’s pick. While the reality TV star agreed Lil’ Kim had influence, she argued that Minaj is the correct, current answer to the G.O.A.T. question.
“Lil Kim was the Goat … her and Foxy both had they run and did a lot for us female rappers, so did Eve, Missy Elliot, etc., but what about when there was a standstill, and no label wanted to sign female rappers? Who came and open the door and had the longest run in history, Nicki Minaj…” Akbar V wrote.
The reality TV alum added, “…Let’s not say Kim is the Goat of all time because no dck grabbing it’s @NICKIMINAJ.” Furthermore, Akbar V implored Latto to “give that damn girl her flowers when it’s due yall don’t got to fk with each other but keep it a stack.”
AK’s X post seemed to reference the war of words Latto and Nicki Minaj exchanged in October 2022. The female rappers traded insults after Minaj mentioned Latto’s ‘Big Energy’ song while critiquing how the Recording Academy categorizes rap and pop tracks. Neither woman has ever publicly extended an olive branch following their verbal tussle.
In a follow-up post, Akbar V also credited MC Lyte and Queen Latifah as entertainers who have “done a lot for the female rappers.”
Latto Said THIS About Lil’ Kim
For context, Latto selected Lil’ Kim as a G.O.A.T. during a sit-down with her sister Brooklyn for Complex. During their chat, Brokklyn named her sister as her G.O.A.T., while the ‘Big Mama’ rapper chose Kim.
“My female G.O.A.T. is Lil’ Kim for sure. Fashion icon. Timeless music, timeless looks. Like forever gon’ be a staple in not only rap, but like female rap,” Latto shared. “And she the G.O.A.T. forreal, because she’s a queen forreal, like off-camera she a f**king queen. I love that b***h.”

While Akbar V wasn’t feeling Latto’s choice, the ‘Put It On DA Floor’ rapper has seemingly given Nicki Minaj her flowers this year. In April, she spoke to Atlanta’s 107.9 radio station about her top three female rappers. dead or alive.
Once again, she name-dropped Lil’ Kim first, followed up by Left Eye and then “shawty.” Fans quickly speculated that “shawty” was Nicki Minaj.
