Kim Kardashian might not be ready to start dating, but she’s claiming her kids are! The reality TV superstar dropped by ‘The Tonight Show’ on Wednesday (August 14) to chat about her recent life happenings.
During their conversation, host Jimmy Fallon asked whether Kim is on or off the dating scene. Now, her response has social media users divided between giving bombastic side eyes and cackling at her kids’ apparent honesty!
Here’s Where Kim Kardashian Stands On Dating
Fallon asked Kimmy, “What’s up with the love scene?” and asked whether she was currently dating anyone. After clarifying whether he meant in a TV role or real life, she replied, “No, I’m not.” Then, she explained that her little ones have been pushing the topic, though!
The second-eldest Kardashian daughter shares four children with her ex-husband Ye (formerly Kanye West). North is 11 years old, Saint is 8, Chicago is 6, and Psalm is 5, per PEOPLE.
“It’s so funny because my kids try to set me up like they’re ready now, and I’m not,” Kim said as the audience laughed.
She added that her kids are “so particular” about who they’d like her to date. Saint, for example, wants Kim to be with “any basketball player or soccer player,” she claimed. “And I’m like, if he only knew,” Kardashian joked.
For context, before marrying Ye, Kim Kardashian began dating NBA player Kris Humphries in October 2010. He proposed less than a year later, in May 2011, and they married three months later, per US Weekly. Ultimately, the marriage lasted 72 days before she filed for divorce. The former couple reportedly settled in April 2013.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Kim added that “some” of her kids want her to be with “streamers,” but she didn’t specify who. We do know that Northie is a fan of streamers like Kai Cenat, for example, whom she celebrated her 11th birthday with earlier this year.
“Like they have lists, and they try to sneakily set me up, and I’m like, ‘Guys, this just isn’t what I want right now.’”

Since her split from Ye, Kim Kardashian has only publicly confirmed a relationship with comedian Pete Davidson. Their romance began after she hosted ‘Saturday Night Live’ in October 2021 and appeared in skits with him. By August 2022, they had called the relationship quits after months of Ye throwing jabs at Pete, Kim, and her family online.
Earlier this year, she was rumored to have a lil’ something something going on with Odell Beckham Jr. after multiple sightings in the same spaces. However, neither of them ever confirmed or denied the chatter.
