Nick Carter Slams Sexual Assault Accuser’s Botched Deposition

Nick Carter is not giving his accuser an easy pass amid court tussle!

The singer is ensuring no stone is left unturned in his sexual assault abuser’s testimony as he fights to clear his name and have her lawsuit dismissed.

Nick Carter and Shannon Ruth are currently in court over a sexual assault claim that allegedly happened on a tour bus in 2001.

Carter accused Sharon of attempting to make herself appear as a victim in the ongoing case as he stressed his commitment to prove his innocence.

The former boy band member and his legal team have denied every allegation of the assault Shannon claimed happened in 2001 after the Backstreet Boys concert in Washington.

Her lawsuit was filed in 2022, and Shannon claimed Carter ordered her to perform oral sex on him in the bus bathroom.

Shannon claimed Carter took her to his bed, where the assault continued, which left her HPV infection afterward, despite being a virgin before their encounter.

In Touch shared that Carter’s legal team denied Shannon’s claims in the lawsuit on the basis that a second accuser, Melissa Schuman, and her father had conspired with Shannon to extort him.

The singer did not just deny every claim in the lawsuit and sued Shannon, Melissa, and Melissa’s father for millions in damages. He requested that the judge dismiss the case and accused Shannon of being “desperate for her two minutes of fame.”

The legal team continued: “[Shannon] appeared at a press conference the day she filed her Complaint against Carter to portray herself as a victim who was raped when she was an autistic minor in February 2001.”

They continued that Shannon planned to gain as much attention as possible, hoping that Carter would be canceled. Her plan apparently worked as “ABC” canceled the Backstreet Boys’ Christmas special, “A Very Backstreet Holiday,” and Carter was left fighting for his innocence and his family.”

Carter’s attorney disclosed that the singer has gathered all the evidence needed to clear his name and prove that he has been telling the truth all along that “he did not rape Ruth or anyone else for that matter.”

Carter went all in on the offensive against Shannon, claiming she did not remember answers to over 100 questions during the deposition. According to Carter’s lawyers, Shannon was unable to provide any details aside “from what her lawyers wrote for her in her complaint and interrogatory responses.”

They continued that Shannon testified about 146 times that she “did not remember and 64 times that she did not know,”and when she was asked to prove her testimony, it sounded “completely fabricated without any evidentiary support.”

He added that Eleanor, whom Shannon claimed accompanied her to the clinic for her HPV test in 2001, had testified that none of that was true and claimed she never “attended any medical appointment with Shannon.”

The evidence also allegedly confirmed that Shannon tested negative for HPV based on her own medical record. Eleanor also allegedly testified that the first time she learned about Shannon’s rape claim was when she reached out to her in 2020 to testify against Carter.

In May, The Blast shared that a docuseries from Investigation Discovery, “Fallen Idols,” focused on the damning allegations against the singer and his brother Aaron Carter.

The series featured three women, including Melissa, Shannon, and Ashley Repp, a former friend of Nick’s sister Angel who claimed the singer sexually assaulted them.

The docuseries began with Shannon taking the bold step of filing a sexual assault lawsuit against the singer, making her the first among the alleged victims to do so.

However, the documentary’s title card states that Carter denied all the allegations and questioned his accusers’ credibility. The 44-year-old also refused to be interviewed for the series, which further raised suspicions among viewers about his true character away from the public eye.

The docuseries, which aired on ID and Max on May 27 and 28, exposed shocking facts about Carter’s relationship with his accusers.

The series showed Schuman detailing Carter’s text message to her after the alleged encounter, which read: “Why did you make me do that?”

Schuman did not stop there; she also detailed her haunting experience with Carter, including how he continued to make sexual advances at her despite her initial refusal.

The docuseries also covered how Kaya Jones, a former Pussycat Dolls member who was in a relationship with Carter in the 2000s, contacted Schuman after she spoke out on her experience with the singer.

His late brother, who was not cordial with Carter up until his death, reportedly supported the women who accused the “Backstreet Boys” former member of assault.

The judge is yet to give a verdict on Nick Carter’s claim about Schuman’s account of events.
