Lauren London continues to honor the legacy of the late Nipsey Hussle in a multitude of ways. When the actress isn’t busy promoting The Marathon Clothing, she’s executing his vision of helping people of color achieve financial freedom through entrepreneurship with the “Nipsey Hussle 100K pitch competition,” in partnership with Microsoft, Earn Your Leisure (EYL), and The Marathon Clothing.
One of Hussle’s many passions was seeing Black-owned businesses thrive through entrepreneurship. He was an advocate for financial literacy, understanding that communities could grow and thrive with a better understanding of investments, ownership, and more. Years after his passing, the rapper’s vision came to fruition at the 3rd annual Invest Fest Pitch Competition, where business owners competed for a 100k grant.
This initiative wouldn’t have been possible without London and Hussle’s brother, Blacc Sam, who continues to carry the torch of the beloved rapper’s legacy. In a collaborative post, Invest Fest and the “Earn Your Leisure” podcast co-host Troy Millings shared their appreciation for the hard work and dedication to fulfilling Hussle’s mission to encourage business ownership.
“Honored to witness the presence of Lauren London and Blacc Sam at Invest Fest, carrying forward Nipsey’s legacy of empowerment and community. The Marathon truly continues. ðð #InvestFest #LegacyInAction,” they wrote.
Lauren London’s commitment to Nipsey Hussle remains unwavering, five years after his passing.
London spends less time in the spotlight since the untimely death of Hussle. Unless it’s to promote a project, or all things Nipsey Hussle, the seasoned actress keeps a low profile. In a viral clip from the “Angie Martinez IRL” podcast, the 39-year-old mother of two explained why she doesn’t feel the need to be in another relationship.
