A day after news broke about Diddy filing a motion to dismiss a sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, the latter is still fighting back and calling the mogul a “monster’ with “no soul,” further alleging that he’s been sending people to threaten him.

As we previously shared, music producer Lil Rod first made headlines in February 2024 when he filed a $30 million sexual assault, tracking, and racketeering lawsuit against Diddy, born Sean Combs, in a Manhattan federal court. In his explosive 73-page filing, Lil Rod, 38, claimed that Diddy, 54, groped him, secretly drugged him, and forced him to solicit and participate in sexual contact with sex workers. Jones claimed this all transpired between September 2022 and November 2023 as he was working with the mogul on his Grammy Award-nominated ‘Love Album: Off The Grid.’

Lil Rod’s lawsuit follows Comb’s longtime girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura’s own $30 million sexual assault, abuse, and trafficking lawsuit filed in November 2023 and settled just one day after the news broke. Since then, Lil Rod and at least five other women have filed lawsuits alleging sexual assault and abuse against Diddy, dating as far back as the early 1990s. In addition to Combs, a sexual assault lawsuit has also been filed against his son Christian “King” Combs.

Since news broke of Lil Rod’s lawsuit, Diddy has vehemently denied any truth to the allegations against him and just recently attempted to have the lawsuit tossed. On Monday (August 26), we learned that Diddy and his lawyer Marc Agnifilo believe Lil Rod’s lawsuit is just a money grab attempt and they submitted a motion to dismiss the producer’s second amended complaint in Manhattan Federal Court. Diddy and his lawyer are challenging each of the allegations made against him and they are accusing Jones of attempting to secure a swift settlement by making wild accusations intended to damage his reputation.

In their filing, they cited a recent video that Lil Rod appeared in with rapper Uncle Murda, in which he insisted that Diddy “pay him by Monday.” Additionally, Diddy argues that Jones has not demonstrated any injury to his “business or property” as defined by the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). Initially, Jones alleged that his “business or property” suffered due to unpaid services that he provided for Diddy’s ‘Love’ album. Diddy also claimed that Jones failed to present a primary claim under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, which would demonstrate that he was coerced into sex acts in exchange for something of value or that he was victimized by such an act. Diddy continued to counter several other claims alleged by Lil Rod.

A day after Diddy’s motion to dismiss Lil Rod’s sexual assault lawsuit, Rolling Stone published an exclusive interview with the music producer, in which he called the mogul a “monster” with “no soul.” As his lawsuit moves forward, Lil Rod breaks his silence with Rolling Stone and although he declined to go into detail about his most sensitive allegations, he did talk about his experiences working with Diddy and the damaging fallout since filing his lawsuit.

With his attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, on the phone, Jones said he’s been laying low in the last few months and undergoing intensive therapy. He also claims that he feels “blackballed” in the music industry since coming forward. He said, “It’s been very, very tough. Because of this lawsuit, most people don’t want to come near working with me for whatever reasons, whether they’ve been in partnership with Puff or they want to just sit back and see what happens. He’s a gatekeeper in the music industry … People are too scared, whatever their reasons are, to even touch [my mixed and mastered album].”

Lil Rod added, “Here I am standing up for justice, for what I believe is right for my life, and I’m being punished for that. I’m blackballed, for sure. I’ve had many nights and weeks and months of suicidal thoughts. It’s the music that has kept me living all my life.”

While describing Diddy, Lil Rod called him “a monster who will do whatever is necessary to get exactly what he wants.” He added, “He doesn’t take no for an answer. He [told me] himself, ‘I’ll smack my mama.’ Anybody who can say that even jokingly is a monster. He’s nothing to be played with.” He further claimed that his “Love” persona and branding, is “just marketing.”

He continued, “For some reason, our culture worships [Combs] and his billionaire status. They don’t want to see him fall because they’re living vicariously through him. They have to understand Puffy is no god. He’s nothing more than a shrewd, crooked businessman. He’s stolen publishing for years. He’s nothing but a thief. He has no soul. He lives off other people’s gifts and talents. It’s not a human way to live. My name is all over the [Love Album] credits, so I had to have done some producing. It got a Grammy nomination. And I’m sitting here doing nothing, unable to work. This is not right”

He also claimed that he’s received threats. He said, “I’ve never had so much hitting me at once. Diddy has a lot of people on his payroll in a lot of different positions. He’s very connected. It’s made me nervous traveling. Going to hotels, I ask if there’s any way to remove my name.” He said he’s been living paranoid for a while and is now seeing three therapists. He added, “Everybody saw the video of Cassie. This is who I’m dealing with.”
