After a very impressive box office haul in August, you can now watch M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap at home.
Although the serial killer thriller is still in theaters, you can watch it online starting at 9 p.m. PT on Thursday, Aug. 29 (or 12 a.m. ET on Friday, Aug. 30). Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, Trap is expected to stream on Max when its current theatrical run is over. You’ll likely be able to stream Trap on Max sometime in late September or early October.
In the meantime, Trap in 4K Ultra HD is available digitally to buy for $24.99 on Prime Video, Apple TV and other video-on-demand platforms. Tickets to see the film in theaters are still available at Fandango.com and elsewhere.
Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Trap follows Cooper (Josh Hartnett), a mild-mannered firefighter, taking his daughter Riley (Ariel Donoghue) to see her favorite pop star Lady Raven (Saleka Night Shyamalan) live in concert in Philadelphia. However, unbeknownst to his daughter, Cooper is a violent serial killer called “The Butcher” and the concert is an elaborate trap to capture him. He must try to escape the authorities without Riley discovering the truth about him.
The film also stars Hayley Mills, Alison Pill, Jonathan Langdon, Mark Bacolcol, Marnie McPhail, Kid Cudi, Russ, Marcia Bennett, Lochlan Miller and others.
