Leah Remini Ends Her Marriage
PEOPLE confirms that Leah Remini filed for divorce from her husband, Angelo Pagán, after 21 years of marriage. The ‘King of Queens’ star submitted the paperwork in Los Angeles County on Friday, August 30.
Documents obtained by the outlet show that Leah cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce and listed August 1 as their separation date.
The couple announced their decision to split in a lengthy joint Instagram post, which includes two photos of them.
In the statement, Leah Remini and Angelo Ragán explained their split and expressed their hope to find a new normal together.
“This decision came after a lot of thought and care, and as hard as divorce is, we are approaching this with a positive outlook because we know it’s what’s best for us. To put it simply, we both changed, as people do, and we got used to playing roles that didn’t fit us anymore. After a lot of effort and consideration, we’ve decided to take this step, which reflects who we are today,” Leah and Angelo wrote.
Furthermore, the couple shared that despite their separation, they consider their marriage a huge success and still plan to come together as a family for holidays.

Entertainment Weekly reveals that Leah and Angelo spent 28 years together and got engaged in 2003.
The couple has one child together, 20-year-old Sofia Bella. Pagán has three sons from a previous relationship — Angelo Jr., Alex, and Nico.
Leah Remini gained fame for her role on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens, which she starred in for nine seasons. Her husband, Angelo Pagán, is a salsa singer and actor who has appeared on ‘Shameless’ and ‘The King of Queens.’
