James Cameron’s classic 1984 sci-fi action movie The Terminator starring Arnold Schwarzenegger is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and in celebration, there’s a new Blu-ray and limited edition steelbook coming!

Pre-orders for a standard 4K Blu-ray and a Limited Edition Steelbook 4K Blu-ray have already launched so if you want it, it’s out there to buy!

For those of you who are into physical media, which is dying off, this is a must-own film for fans who don’t already own it.

The Terminator is a groundbreaking sci-fi thriller that introduced audiences to a dystopian future where AI and machines have taken over the world.

The film centers around a relentless cyborg assassin known as the Terminator who is sent back in time from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). Sarah is an unsuspecting young woman whose future son, John Connor, is destined to lead the human resistance against the machines.

To protect her, the resistance also sends a soldier named Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) back in time, leading to a desperate chase as Reese and Sarah try to stay one step ahead of the unstoppable Terminator.

The movie’s iconic visual effects, intense action sequences, and chilling portrayal of a potential future have cemented it as a classic in both the science fiction and action genres.

I love this movie and it’s one of those movies where I can’t believe that it’s been 40 years since it was released!
