NLE Choppa has been public in his support of the LGBTQ community in recent months, and now he’s going to show his love in person by performing in Atlanta during the city’s Black Pride Weekend.

The multi-day festival began on Thursday (August 29) and continues until Monday (September 2). NLE’s show, while not listed on the festival’s website, is billed as “NLE Choppa, Atlanta Black Pride 2024.”

The gig takes place on Sunday night (September 1) at The Bank in Atlanta. Tickets can be purchased here.

Choppa announced the show on Instagram on Friday (August 30), and explained his reason for booking it.

“If you’re a person that had something to say about me these last six months regarding if I’m gay or if I’m a f-bomb or if I’m this or if I’m that, well, this might make you a little bit more madder, or make you more infatuated, when trying to come to a conclusion of who I am,” he began.

“Because I know who I am so deeply and I’m so appreciative of who I am, I will be doing my justice by coming to Atlanta for Black Pride and showing love to the LGBTQ community for being one of the best audiences that’s been streaming ‘Slut Me Out 2.’”

He continued: “So the same way that they’re pouring love into me is the same way that I’m giving back love. And I’ma let y’all judge me again and say what y’all want to say about me, ’cause y’all are going to say what y’all are going to say regardless.”

“Slut Me Out 2” has garnered a strong following among the LGBTQ community since its release in April, and the rapper is keen to pay back the support. This past June, he even anticipated his latest move.

On June 13, he took to X to write: “I want to perform Slut Me Out 2 at a pride event in return of the love yall showed me !!”

Even back in April, during the song’s initial release, he shared his thanks on social media.

“I’m noticing the LGBTQ community showing so much love to ‘Slut Me Out 2’ And I Simply Want To Say Thank You,” he wrote at the time. “IDC what’s normalized as a rapper, I was raised to Fuck with who fuck with you! So thank y’all for appreciating my craft.. My music For ALL we do NO Discrimination.”
