A press release shared with EDM.com reveals that Malaa, the balaclava-clad house music superstar, has launched a new alias. Having already taken over his social channels, “Malaa’s Alter Ego” isn’t just a surface-level concept—it’s set to star in a forthcoming double album effort from the producer, billed as a high-stakes “clash” of dueling personalities.
Malaa’s Alter Ego was revealed via the eerie teaser video below, where in he hijacks the spotlight just as Malaa is preparing to introduce the next chapter of his career. The spine-tingling sequence sees Malaa eliminated by this new persona, signaling the power shift already underway.
The rivalry between Malaa and his alter ego is also set to play out live on an upcoming tour featuring a two-part performance. Fans can expect the first half of each show to spotlight Malaa’s signature sound while the second half will see “Malaa’s Alter Ego” take control, delivering a wildly different energy and setting the stage for an epic head-to-head showdown.
